Medical Assistant
Tenny Internal Medicine is adding a Medical Assistant to our team. We are a four-physician practice located inside the beautiful new Tenny Professional Building in West Dearborn. This position requires a person who has a proven history of being reliable, hard-working, and has exemplary customer service skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to)

• Ensure efficient workflow by rooming patients in a timely manner
• Screen patients for covid-19 symptoms before they enter
• Obtain vitals, chief complaints, review/enter medications, review/enter histories, and patient screenings (as needed)
• Administer vaccinations and other medications
• Perform EKG's, PFT's, ear irrigations, wound care, set up Holter monitors, and other small procedures
• Supply Inventory and stock exam rooms
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, sanitized, and ready for patient visit
• Perform tests such as Influenza, Strep, Pregnancy, and Covid-19 and antibodies testing
• Administrative duties such as answering phones, taking messages and corresponding with patients and other medical professionals, filling out forms, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
• Sanitize and clean the office according to the cleaning schedule

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must be reliable and have a can-do attitude
• Must be organized and have excellent time management
• Must have exceptional customer service skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work autonomously on many tasks but also be a team player on others
• Experience in primary care is preferred but not required
• Experience with Athena and Epic is preferred but not required. This role requires that you are able to sit and stand for extended periods of time, be able to lift 50lbs, and be able to assist patients who may need the help of another to ambulate. You must pass a background/drug/alcohol screening as well.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
