We are hiring a Medical Assistant (Clinical Duties) & Medical Scribe for Back and Neck Medical Care Center LLC in Las Cruces, NM. You will work Tue & Fri from 8:15am-6pm. We have 2 physicians in our clinic.
Rate of pay: We will start you at $12/hour. Most Medical Assistants/scribes are able to reach $15 per hour within 6-8 months based on their job performance. We will pay you while we train you. There is no charge for our training. The compensation varies by qualifications. Well-qualified candidates may start at a rate higher than $12/hour.
Career Progression: Leadership opportunities may be offered after 3-6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant/scribe. After 3-6 months of employment, you may be eligible to advance into a leadership role such as Medical Assistant Trainer, Site Manager, or Patient Care Coordinator.
Work Hours: This is a P/T position which will most likely expand to F/T hours in the next 4-6 months. Current hours are approximately: Tue & Fri 8:15am-6pm.
Primary Duties: Treat patients per doctor's orders (direct clinical care) with physical therapy modalities such as ESWT (extra-corporeal shockwave therapy), therapeutic ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation, cold laser for pain relief, non-surgical spinal decompression, demonstrate proper lifting technique, help patients learn home exercises, etc.
Secondary Duties: Work Closely With Physicians and Patients * Input Exams, X-Ray Findings, Diagnoses, and Plans into EMR system * Order PT, DME, Imaging, Lab Work * Call in Prescriptions * Correct and/or Add to HPI’s in medical record * Complete and Fax Progress Notes * Ensure Patient Forms Are Properly Completed and Signed * Manage Login Information for Various Platforms * Answer Patient Concerns * Must Multitask · Good Computer Skills * Fast Learner * Good Communication Skills * Detail Oriented*We may also teach you how to assist in taking x-rays and how to assist the Dr. in performing spinal injections and peripheral joint injections.
Requirements: None. This is a fully trainable position. However we do have some preferences as listed below.
Our preferences: Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
