From coughs and colds to cuts and broken bones, our providers offer great care for a range of illnesses and injuries in clean, modern centers. We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our Boston-area Mass General Brigham Urgent Care clinics seven days a week. Most Mass General Brigham Urgent Care visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters.
General Summary
We are seeking full-time Medical Assistants to work 3, 12.5-hour shifts per week, as well as 2 on-call shifts per month (with overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed).
The Medical Assistant provides patient centric care, patient registration and medical assistance duties as part of the Mass General Brigham Urgent Care Team.

71 Needham Street Newton, MA 02461We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however, for on-call shifts, employees must be able to commute to any of our locations, including Boston Common, Brookline, Cambridge, Lynn, Natick, Newton, Westwood, and Woburn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).
Qualifications
- Completion of a formal, post-secondary clinical training program (ex. Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic) diploma required.
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Required: 1 years of applicable professional experience in the administration of immunizations, and upon hire successfully demonstrate injections/vaccinations as assessed by a primary care provider.
- 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a high-volume Urgent Care center, primary care practice or emergency room preferred.
