Job Description:
As a Medical Assistant NCT Trainer, you will play a crucial role in educating new hires about the X-ray suite and machine, available resources for assistance, X-ray positioning techniques, patient entry in the Konica Minolta software and navigating RadPartners in a classroom setting. You will be responsible for ensuring that new staff members receive comprehensive training to effectively assist patients and operate X-ray equipment in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions on the X-ray suite and machine, including equipment operation.
- Educate new hires and remediation on available resources for assistance and support within the X-ray suite.
- Provide instruction on X-ray positioning techniques to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort.
- Train new staff members and remediation on patient entry procedures in the Konica Minolta software and navigate RadPartners for image storage, report retrieval, and communications.
- Implement educational materials and presentations to facilitate learning.
- Coordinate with department heads and supervisors to tailor training programs according to organizational needs.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to new hires to ensure competency and proficiency.
- Assess trainees' understanding and skill level and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Stay updated on advancements in housed X-ray technology and imaging software to enhance the training curriculum.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate training initiatives with patient care protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Educate on Texas Medical Board Radiology compliance.
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting.
- Active NCT (Non-Certified Technician) license listed with the Texas Medical Board.
- Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care Medical AssistantTrainer Associate, or Clinic Manager.
- Six months of experience as a Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care Medical Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of X-ray positioning techniques and imaging software, including Konica Minolta and RadPartners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively teach and train individuals with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Prior experience in conducting training sessions or educational programs is preferred but not required.
