Overview

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance regulations, procedure and diagnosis coding, and automated insurance billing

• Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent working knowledge

• Working knowledge of physician practice operations

• Demonstrated communications and leadership skills

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• American Heart Association BLS  

Responsibilities

Provides leadership to Medical Assistants, coordinating and directing activities to provide effective and efficient patient encounters. Performs clinical functions associated with the Clinical Assistant position.
