This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced and dedicated full-time Medical Assistant Team Lead to join the Clinical Support team at our Fairfax, VA office. The schedule is working Monday through Friday, 6:30 am - 4:00 pm with occasional weekends and holidays.
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Team Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for:
- Helps to plan and organize the responsibilities of assigned staff to increase efficiency
- Assists Supervisor/Manager in the training and orientation of staff
- High volume of phlebotomy
- Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
- Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
- Under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager, conducts individual supervision/counseling sessions
- Writes and administers performance appraisal evaluations
- Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
- Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
- Assist physician or ultrasound technician with various procedure
- Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs
- Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
- Formal MA education/certification
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Preferably strong experience in women's health and fertility/IVF
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Strong patient orientation and a team player
- Professionalism and strong customer service skills a must!
