This is a full-time position with full benefits, including insurance, 148 PTO hours per year, 56 hours of paid Holidays per year including the day after Thanksgiving, and an Employee Retirement Plan (401K) with employer match. Tuition reimbursement and a grow our own Medical Assistant Program.
Normal working hours are Monday- Friday 8:00-4:30.
Salary is based on experience.
Admits patients to the clinic bay and assists the physician and/or nurse to provide
physical care for the patient before, during, and after examinations and
procedures.
Assists the physician and/or nurse with rooming the patient and providing
physical care for the patient before, during and after examinations and
procedures.
Performs routine clerical activities required for efficient operation of the
ambulatory clinic.
Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures.
Appropriately utilizes facility communication and information systems and
equipment.
Education:
High School diploma or GED, some college preferred
Experience:
One year MT experience
Prefer previous experience as an MT in the ambulatory care setting, but not
required
Certification/License:
BCLS certification or obtain within 3 months of hire
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Medical terminology
Basic computer skills
For administration of injectable medications, must have successfully completed
an accredited Medical Assistant training program, or successful completion of
approved injection and Pharmacology training.
