Medical Assistant
Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health topics.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Attention to detail to accurately record patient information and perform tasks.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
