We are seeking skilled and compassionate Medical Assistants/Technicians to join our dynamic team at Vitality Advanced Healthcare. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch care to our patients, particularly in the areas of wound care and podiatry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' lives through innovative wound care practices.
Work Locations: Hybrid - Peoria and/or Scottsdale Clinics and some mobile when needed
Work Shifts: Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM
Responsibilities:
- Assist podiatrists and wound care specialists during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-organized.
- Take patient histories, vital signs, and record patient information accurately.
- Assist with wound dressing changes, wound assessments, and wound care procedures.
- Educate patients on proper wound care techniques and preventive measures.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure their availability.
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, infection control practices, and clinic policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant or medical technician program preferred.
- Relevant certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of wound care and podiatry procedures is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance (local travel maybe required)
