Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the overall operations of our medical facility. Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive measures
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Phlebotomy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals to specialists
- Provide medical administrative support, including answering phone calls, filing documents, and managing patient records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient service
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred
