Our single physician hair restoration practice specializes in treatment for hair loss and hair restoration for male and female patients which can be life-changing experience. We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team which provides medical and surgical treatment to our patients who travel from around the world to our office.
There are two aspects that sets this position apart from other medical assistant roles. First, our patients are choosing to come here, already creating a positive atmosphere. Second, you will be assisting the physician in surgery. Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical assisting diploma/certification is preferred
- Experience working with a microscope is preferred
- Experience working in the medical field is preferred
- Hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time
- Engaging in repetitive motions
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Appropriate vaccinations for healthcare workers
- Submit to a drug screen test prior to employment
- Maintain patient confidentiality & comply with HIPAA related policies
- Professionalism in both appearance and demeanor
- Team player with a strong sense of integrity
- Works well under pressure

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting in surgical procedures
- Preparing paperwork
- Surgical site preparation
- Obtaining vital signs
- Taking clinical photographs
- Preparing, counting, and sorting hair grafts under microscopes; performing pre- and post-operative patient hair washes
- Bandaging, wound care, suture/staple removal
- Instrument processing
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure instructions and answer questions
- Routine equipment maintenance
- Inventory and ordering of supplies
- Scheduling patient visits
- Medical records
- Maintaining and adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, AAAHC standards
- Participate in required staff trainings and meetings
