Medical Assistant

Medical assistant -The Sugar Land Family Practice Location.

Job Summary: First Primary Care is a direct primary care clinic that is revolutionizing healthcare one patient at a time. We are a team of fun, caring, innovative, out-of-the-box-thinking, enthusiastic individuals, and we are looking for an MA with the same characteristics.

The MA plays a very important role in the function of the office. He/She will work directly under the supervision of the office manager assisting in the following tasks:

● Answering phones
● Obtaining baseline vitals & rooming patients
● Performing EKGs & spirometry tests
● Administration of injections & vaccinations
● Phlebotomy
● Assisting in office procedures
● Faxing and scanning medical documents into E MR
● Stocking supplies & Inventory
● Opening & Closing Clinic

Qualifications: Enthusiastic, well-organized, great multi-tasker, and people-oriented. Proficient at using

Word and Excel. Plus a pleasant personality, good clear speaking voice, ability to relate well to people, confidence, ability to work well under pressure and dependable.

Fluent in Spanish.

If you have more than 1 year of experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine that will be a great plus. New grads are welcomed.

Job Type: Full-time

● Hours of operation Monday through Friday 8am -5pm

Experience:

● Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred, but not required)
● Training will be provided

License or certification:

● Certified Medical Assistant, BLS/CPR certified (Required)
● Certificate of Completion o f an approved Medical Assistant training program required
