Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing Family Medicine practice. Family Practice Associates is seeking a highly-organized, dependable and friendly person to serve as its Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant is responsible for managing patient flow, assisting with patient care, demonstrating superior customer service and tackling tasks with the utmost of professionalism. Applicants must be a team player and have the ability to multi-task and work independently.
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:
- facilitating patient flow
- triaging and rooming patients
- measuring and recording patient vitals in the EMR
- drawing blood/labs and processing in-house specimens
- adhering to procedures for ordering, processing and tracking lab specimens and other diagnostic testing
- preparing, cleaning and stocking examination rooms
- returning patient calls; providing consistent/timely communication and answering clinical questions
- coordinating medication delivery and injection administration
- securing prior authorizations and referrals as needed for medications, treatments and procedures
- coordinating with drug reps for samples and supplies
- other duties as requested
Applicants must have:
- Prior medical assisting experience, family medicine experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
Schedule: The schedule for this position will be either:
- 4 days per week, 8 a.m. to 515 p.m.
- OR
- 3 days per week, 8 a.m. to 430 p.m.; 1 day, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 day, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Our practice is open seven days per week - this position will work approximately every six weekends.

Compensation: $17 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience
