Job Description
The Medical Assistant relies on our systematic processes to relay information back to patients and collect detailed patient information for the Nurse Practitioner. Every day the predictable and methodical work environment motivates you. You go into work knowing what to expect because you have your list of tasks to accomplish and can set up your routine.
Successful Medical Assistants are optimistic, friendly, efficient, and detailed in the tasks performed and have experience with medical terminology.
Your tasks will include the following:
- greeting and registering patients
- collecting patient information including vital signs, height, weight, medical history and prescriptions
- administering medical tests, collecting specimens, giving injections
- charting in the electronic medical records system
- processing paper documents such as sports physicals and DOT physicals
- scheduling tests and receiving pre-authorizations
- communicating medical results back to patients

Position Overview
- Work hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Full Time – 36 hours each week
- Work rotation: work 6 days in a 14-day period with 7 days off in a row; no holidays or Sundays worked
