MEDICAL ASSISTANT/ CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
MIND BODY OPTIMIZATION
We are a new outpatient program looking to change the way people seek and engage outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment. At Mind Body Optimization, we are committed to evaluating and addressing client’s unique needs in order for them to achieve their fullest potential. Our staff will consist of medical and clinical professionals that will work collaboratively to assist our clients. We are opening two facilities in Southlake and Frisco by February 1st, 2024 with a plan to expand to all major Texas cities over the next 3-5 years.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for Medical Assistants or CNAs to join our medical team to provide quality outpatient medical treatment to our clients in need. Our facility will be offering medical and clinical services to address Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder, our medical services will include: TMS services, urine analysis, medication assisted treatment. The MA/CNA will work under the supervision of our NPs and MDs to provide these services when it is within their scope of practice. We are looking for MA/CNAs that are passionate about supporting clients with Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment Disorders with medical services and support.
We are looking for staff for our Frisco and Southlake location, our MA/CNAs will be working roughly 36 hours a week with a schedule of 3 days a week, 12 working hour shift.
Start date would be January 29th, 2024.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Following agency policies and procedures
- Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room
- Collecting patient history and vitals
- Assisting physicians/physician assistants with various procedures
- Charting
- Relaying instructions to patients/families
- Answering calls and providing pertinent information
- Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned that may include
- Sending/receiving patient medical records
- Obtaining lab, referral information, etc
- Completing forms/requisitions as needed
- Managing and updating charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately
- Assist with on-site events
- Complete weekly and monthly reports
- Participate in weekly and monthly clinic meetings
- Attend in-service trainings and educational workshops
- Complete online trainings in a timely manner
- Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
- Cooperate and communicate with clinic staff and directors
- Conduct self in a professional manner in areas of dress, language, attitude and behavior
- Exhibit full knowledge and support of MBO philosophy, objectives and goals
- Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate and professional boundaries with clients and their family members
- Fully understand and maintain professional and appropriate confidentiality and privacy policies and practices
- Perform other duties associated with your role and position
QUALIFICATIONS

- Documentation of current Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
- Experience working in substance use is preferred but not required.
- Complete TB testing, Drug Screening, and Background check upon being hired
- If in personal recovery, must have a minimum of 1 year clean and sober.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment with stringent monthly deadlines and quotas. Employees should conduct themselves in a way that maintains a professional and therapeutic environment while interacting with internal and external individuals. As a facility that provides substance use treatment we expect all staff to maintain their sobriety or a healthy relationship with substances and never come to work or represent the company while under the influence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Salary range for position is $17 - $20/hour based on experience.
