- Monday through Saturday day shift
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Provides patient education materials specific to ordered diagnostics, procedures, diet or medical condition.
- Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
- Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
- Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to walk and stand for up to 10 hours. Sitting, bending, pushing and pulling is required. Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Must have normal conversation hearing and normal reading vision (with or without correction).
Requirements
- Can hold a registered nursing or licensed practical nursing license or be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, certified by the State of Michigan preferred.
- Computer knowledge required.
