Oregon Medical Group is seeking applications for full-time Medical Assistant Apprentices to begin our next cohort in April 2023. We are a growing, multi-specialty practice that includes over 750 dedicated providers and staff at multiple locations within Eugene and Springfield.
Hourly compensation for this role is $17.25 with full benefits, and Medical Assistant training will last approximately 12 months. Upon completion, Apprentices will become certified and transition into Medical Assistant roles within Oregon Medical Group (2-year service commitment after training is required).
The MA Apprentice will increasingly gain responsibility for providing assistance to the healthcare clinician by providing direct patient care. Training consists of 2,000 hours of on-the-job training, 410 hours of online coursework, and offsite lab days. Tuition cost will be paid by OMG and the MA Apprentice will be placed in a primary care (family/internal medicine or pediatrics) clinic with a one-on-one MA Mentor to work and learn on the job full-time.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to log into Canvas LMS from home via computer or phone app
- Ability to work day shift Monday through Friday
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.
