Medical Assistant

Pride Health is seeking candidates for a Medical Assistantopportunity based in Lake Success, NY. This is a 3+ months contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion into permanent based on your work performance).

Schedule: Shift Monday & Friday 8:00 am-5:30 pm

Pay rate: $18/hr. -$22/hr. (Pay rate depends on experience, expertise, and education)

Duties:

• Welcome and assist patients, families, and visitors professionally and promptly.
• Respond to inquiries on appointments, wait times, and unexpected issues.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
• Proactively address concerns and implement service recovery.
• Identify and report extended wait times to the clinic manager.
• Arrange translation services for patients.
• Contribute to optimal patient flow planning in clinic meetings.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and notify if unable to complete tasks.

Skills:

• Knowledge of medical care tasks, managed care, scheduling, and customer service.
• Proficient in computer and office equipment use.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and time management skills.
• Quick decision-making and self-initiated work behaviors.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

Requirements:

• 1. prior exp in the Medical Office
  2. Trained in Phlebotomy
  3. Excellent customer service skills
  4. Knowledge and understanding of clinical safety processes
  5. able to work at a fast pace and multi-task
