The Medical Assistant is responsible for Patient care needs. This includes rooming patients, obtaining vitals, medical history, documenting medications. Must have medical terminology knowledge.
Must have experience completing prior authorizations.
Must have organizational skills, be flexible, dependable, and willing to cross train.
Job Duties also include but not limited to:
- Rooming patients
- Scribing for the provider
- Completing tasks for patient care
- Autoclaving
- Setting up for surgical procedures
- Completing pre-visit planning
- Reconciling medications
- Conducting patient outreach
- Health coaching
- Patient education
- Participating in quality improvement work
- Performing injections, tests, and procedures —including EKGs, blood tests, spirometry, etc.
- Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunization

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
