The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care in a clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will perform administrative and clinical tasks to support the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and answering phones
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient exams
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient education and follow-up care
- Perform other duties as assigned by healthcare professionals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate medical instruments and equipment
