The Medical Assistant is a vital part of our team within the Southern Live Oak Wellness system of care. The Medical Assistant is a hands-on team member who supports day-to-day operations within the medical department. SLOW maintains a willingness to train candidates who are motivated and passionate about providing quality care.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm
Pay Rate:
$17 - $19
Job Responsibilities:
- Transcribes Physician’s Orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
- Confers with and assist the Medical Doctor and Nurse Practitioner.
- Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms.
- Conducts assessment and monitoring of patients
- Observe and assess patients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow prescribed course of treatment.
- Determines and implements specific protocols as designated by the NP/Medical Director.
- Assists with emergency situations and make immediate referrals.
- Maintains the Confidential nature of all patients and facility activities.
- Maintains required Training & Continuing Education.
Qualifications:
- EMR platform experience (preferred)
- CPR + First Aid Certification
- License to work in the state of Georgia
