Medical Assistant

A medical office assistant is responsible for performing office duties and ensuring the medical clinic runs smoothly. These duties include transcribing patient records and letters, keeping accounts, check in patients, follow-up on claims with insurance companies and scheduling appointments.

The medical office assistant greets patients when they enter the clinic and takes their information, including contact details, medical history and insurance information.
