Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with patient education and provide support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support techniques.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to perform X-rays or willingness to learn is a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing compassionate and quality care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing clinical procedures and documenting patient information.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
