Fertility Specialists of Texas is looking for a certified Medical Assistant / medical receptionist to join our team of miracle makers in our Rockwall location, with possible travel to our Dallas office.

About this Opportunity
As a medical receptionist, you will be the front-line point of contact with patients. As an ambassador for the overall patient experience, you are responsible for greeting, guiding, directing and answering questions as they arise during the check-in and check-out process.
Medical Receptionist Commitments
· Coordinating all aspects of front desk responsibilities, including welcoming patients and visitors in person and virtually, checking patients in and out for appointments and maintaining records.
· Managing daily schedules by notifying appropriate clinical team members of patient arrivals and communicating appointment changes as needed.
· Fielding general practice inquiries from patients, vendors and other visitors.
· Having a strong understanding of the website and portal to help patients navigate to specific information about our services and forms.
· Promoting patient satisfaction by offering feedback to administrators regarding opportunities for improvement related to patient flow, scheduling and overall experience.
· Collaborating across patient services team through all aspects of reception, financial counseling and new patient coordination.
· Maintaining confidentiality and always adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
· A strong communicator with a welcoming and upbeat personality.
· Empathetic and relatable when it comes to helping patients along their paths to parenthood.
· Able to multi-task while keeping patient experience as the primary focus.
· Willing to embrace change and learn additional duties through on-the-job training.
Medical Assistant Commitments
· Leading patients to appropriate rooms based on appointment type.
· Verifying patient identity for laboratory procedures at various checkpoints.
· Chaperoning physicians during patient exams.
· Assisting during medical exams as needed.
· Preparing rooms for procedures and exams.
· Sterilizing and overseeing ongoing condition of medical equipment.
· Administering injections as needed.
· Maintaining adequate supply of clean linen and scrubs for the practice.
· Performing tests including but not limited to:
- Centrifuging whole blood for hormonal analysis
- Cleaning autoclave and performing monthly maintenance
· Performing phlebotomy duties.
· Keeping clinical inventory and ordering supplies.
· Acting as the liaison between physicians and patients and physicians and nurses.
· Assists vendors with various requests.
· Recording patient discussions using EMR platform.
· Communicating with administration regarding technical and equipment needs.
· Focusing on patient satisfaction during every visit.
· Wiling to work weekends on a rotating basis.
· Willing to step in and provide guidance to ensure a positive clinical experience for every patient.
· Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
