Spherion Staffing of Lake and Sumter County has multiple openings for Medical Assistants located in Leesburg and The Villages. There are 2 floating positions that will be scheduled at one of 5 locations in Leesburg depending on needs. These are direct-hire positions. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime. One location in The Villages is also open on Saturday. The pay rate is $16.50 to $21 per hour depending on experience and if floating.
Responsibilities:
-Perform clinical duties efficiently, including taking patient vital signs, administering injections, and other clinical procedures.
-Conduct phlebotomy with precision and care, ensuring accurate sample collection and labeling.
-Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
-Handle administrative tasks such as patient scheduling, medical record maintenance, and insurance verification.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
-Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and experience in blood specimen collection.
-Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail in clinical and administrative tasks.
-Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on providing compassionate patient care.
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining composure under pressure.

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Exhibit excellent bedside manner, demonstrating empathy, respect, and professionalism in all patient interactions.
-Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or experience in Phlebotomy.
-Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
