Description:
This client is looking for a Medical Assistant to handle the scheduling for the surgery department. Will be one on one with a Doctor and handling their patients personally.
Job duties:
- Large majority of this job is scheduling patients
- They will be working in a cubicle work environment
- Taking calls from patients regarding new appointments and follow ups from previous appointments
- Monitor new and return patient contact
- Scheduling surgery appointments and coordinating with Doctor schedules
- On clinical days, will be rooming patients
- Recording and updating patient medical histories
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- entering everything into their EHR system, EPIC
- Monitor supply inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment is available
- Clean and stock exam rooms when necessary

Must haves:
certified or registered Medical Assistant - with a completed CCMA/RMA
1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in any focus or discipline
1 year EPIC experience
MUST have Surgery Scheduling Experience
