Port Health’s mission is to improve the lives, health and well-being of individuals and families dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team designed to provide or arrange access to a full continuum of care for adults.
What You’ll Do
As the Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing administrative and clinical procedures for adults with substance abuse, mental health and co-occurring medical conditions. The medical assistant will serve as a member of the treatment team and must be able to take vitals, conduct assessments, schedule appointments, update patient records, coordinate prescription refills and other services with external providers.
How You’ll Benefit
You’ll earn a competitive salary starting at $15/hour depending on skills and experience.This full-time position is Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm with flexibility for clinic and client needs. We also offer benefits to those regularly working 30 hours or more per week.

What We’re Looking For
To join our team as the Medical Assistant you must knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems, have a high degree of accuracy in documentation, have knowledge of mental health and psychiatric treatment resources and be able to provide back up coverage to the Patient Access Representative. We also require:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA, or LPN required
- Experience with mental health population preferred
- Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
