The Assembler will perform routine assembly operations of a repetitive nature and inspects VPM-10 catheters according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Assembly is performed by hand in a clean room environment using a microscope. Work may be performed by reference to production drawings, samples as well as written and verbal instructions.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Read, understand and follow SOPs and production drawings
- Ensure parts are cleaned using ultrasonic cleaner
- Prepares case and/or sensors for use in VPM-10 assembly
- Strings wires into catheter using a wire shooter
- Installs sensors in case
- Applies epoxy as needed
- Solders lead wires to sensors
- Performs visual inspection of work to ensure quality standards are met
- Responsible for testing finished assembly by using an ohm meter
- Responsible for cleaning work surfaces and related equipment as required
- Other tasks as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good hand/eye coordination and the manual dexterity to work with small parts, hand tools, and microscope
- Great communication skills
