Medical Advocate – Part Time, Rotating Weekends (2 – 3 weekends per month), 48 hours shift – New Position
The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Part TimeMedical Advocate. Our mission at CFPA is to help all people live free from violence and abuse, and our Medical Advocate is essential in bringing that mission to life.
The Medical Advocate will provide 24-hour crisis intervention and emotional support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in area hospitals. The Medical Advocate will also provide information and referrals for clients regarding issues of sexual assault, abuse and/or harassment, as well as information for community and agency resources and pertinent court and medical information.
The Medical Advocate must maintain accurate and timely documentation of cases for CFPA and funding source reports and insure confidentiality of agency information.
Must be passionate about CFPA’s mission, must work well independently and as a team and have good written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling or related field is preferred.
