Medicaid Eligibility Specialist-Remote/Hybrid

### Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Eligibility Specialist to join our team. As an Eligibility Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying and determining the eligibility of individuals for various programs and services. This role requires strong administrative skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

### Duties:

- Review applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility for programs and services
- Conduct interviews with applicants to gather necessary information
- Verify income, residency, and other eligibility requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of eligibility determinations
- Communicate with applicants regarding their eligibility status and any required documentation
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient processing of applications
- Stay up-to-date on program guidelines and regulations

### Experience:

- Previous experience in an office setting, preferably in a medical, dental, or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative support in a healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review documents
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications
