Med Surg Tele RNs

ACI Federal Inc. is actively recruiting experienced Med/Surg RNs for placement at a distinguished Medical Center client in Yuma, AZ with a start date in March. The assignment is for 13 weeks.

Shift: Nights (6:45p-7:15a)

Shift Length: 12 hours

Qualifications:

Experience: 2 years as an RN, 1 year in specialty

Active AZ license or Compact License

Required Certifications: BLS, Preferred: ACLS

Unit Information

• Department: Med Surg | Tele
• Number of Beds: 90 (double occupancy beds)
• Nurse: Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4-5 days, 6-7 nocs
• Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: Mostly medical - Pneumonia, COPD, Radiation pts, AKI, occasional lap chole, appy, etc.
• RNs Required to Titrated Drips: Heparin & lasix gtt - non-titrated
• Charge Nurse on Each Shift: Charge - sometimes free but can take assignment if needed
• Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs: PCA, 8-12 per person
• RT Equipment: Bipap, stable trach
• Tele/Monitor Techs: Tele on this unit; dedicated monitor tech
• Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45pm-7:15 am
• Weekend Requirement: Every other
• Holiday Requirement: Typically 2/3 holidays
• Call or Standby Requirement: Low Census On Call
• Floating Requirements: MedSurg, stable low acuity in ICU
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Unit/Department Specific Orientation: One NEO, one clinical ed/EPIC, one day floor
