Mechanical Team Member - Prichard, Wv

R.J. Corman Railroad Switching Company is seeking a Mechanical Team Member for our industrial switching location in Prichard, WV. As a Mechanical Team Member, you will perform maintenance on locomotives, railroad cars, equipment, service repairs, and perform FRA inspections.

Responsibilities:

• Locomotive repairs including mechanical, air and electrical.
• Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching.
• General repairs of other equipment if necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintain safe and clean work area.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:

• Experienced in welding (Mig and Arc) required
• Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools
• Experience in rail car repair preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe manner
• Requires frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Able to frequently lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30lbs
• Able to push and pull with 100lbs of force, the force required to push/pull hand brakes
