Job Description
Searching for an earlier career Mechanical /engineer to support work on large Industrial equipment. Looking for candidates with 1-4 years of professional experience and holds a BSME or equivalent degree.
This role is 100% onsite in the Seacoast area.
Candidates will play a vital role in the following areas:
- Oversee engineering and continuous improvement projects, managing them from initiation to completion, or overseeing specific phases of larger projects.
- Conduct research on components, equipment, systems, and processes to enhance existing products or develop new ones.
- Choose components that meet or surpass product requirements.
- Perform routine analysis, experimental work, and investigations in accordance with department protocols.
- Coordinate the integration of technical activities to ensure projects are completed within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Engineer, design, and validate electromechanical equipment and components.
- Interface with suppliers to research and select new or improved product components.
- Lead initiatives for the development and validation of new product designs.
- Execute project plans to meet product specifications, cost targets, and deadlines.
- Continuously identify and address project-related risks while managing design changes.
- Facilitate the seamless transition of projects to the relevant process owners.
- Implement enhancements to existing Munters products and design processes.
- Provide technical support for both new and existing equipment.
- Make critical product design decisions.
- Create comprehensive product engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or other 3D CAD packages.
- 1-4 years of experience in mechanical equipment design engineering.
- Familiarity with industrial/commercial components or machines.
- In-depth knowledge of designing for standardization/modularization.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and controls (e.g., temperature sensors, VFDs, actuators).
- Ability to interpret wiring schematics and comprehend sequences of operations.
- Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, psychrometrics, material properties, structural analysis, acoustics, and fluid dynamics.
- Familiarity with sheet metal design, plastics design, and manufacturing techniques.
