Experienced Mechanic
We are looking for an experienced mechanic to join our maintenance team. This is NOT an entry level position. If you like working on different projects, have a safety-conscious mindset and a can-do attitude, we would love for you to apply. This position is open to anyone that fulfills the requirements below.
Job Description
The Shop Mechanic is responsible for repairs on a wide range of equipment including, but not limited to: DOT inspections, hydraulic repairs, engine repairs and rig specific repairs. You will use all necessary tools and processes to properly inspect, diagnose and repair the equipment. You will be responsible for communicating with your Manager on a daily basis so that you can be given the information, tools and parts needed to be successful. Communication is key to a quick diagnosis and repair. Your goal while repairing equipment is to get any and all repairs completed as quickly and efficiently as possible, all while staying safe. The Mechanic will abide by all DOT regulations and HOS while operating company vehicles.
Qualifications & Skills
· Must be tooled with a roll cart
· Knowledge of DOT & CA BIT inspection criteria
· Electrical diagnostics/repair procedures
· Engine diagnostics/repair procedures
· Have experience diagnosing hydraulic systems, pumps, PRV and valves
· Have experience rebuilding hydraulic cylinders, resealing hydraulic valves
· Have experience diagnosing 12v electrical issues
· Be capable of crawling, reaching, climbing, lifting 50 lbs.
· Must have a safety conscious attitude
· Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics a plus
· ASE certifications a plus, not required

Work Hours are non-negotiable, see below
Monday – Friday (some Saturdays to work on repairs as needed) 7am -3:30pm, overtime is common and sometimes required.
Notice of overtime is given as far in advance as possible, but sometimes same day.
$30 - $38 DOE
