As a Mechanic for the induction Cell and upon training is completed you will be expected to perform the below duties.
What you'll do:
- Disassemble modules and engine components.
- Process parts in the cleaning line
- Perform grit and plastic blasting on parts
- Master the use of pneumatic drills and grinders, able to operate an arbor press and a vast array of hand tools. Learn the usage of an E-Drill, Blasting machines, pressure cleaning, clean line and perform preventive maintenance on the equipment.
- The candidate must learn to work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
- Complete relevant paperwork to ensure compliance with the written instructions.
- Knowledge of using measuring devices such as Caliper and Micrometer.
- Team player and engage well with members to achieve common goals.
- Willingness to learn and to understand cause and effects of each function within the process.
- Observe all applicable safety practices and aviation regulations.
- Minimum of 2 years job related training/experience.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, work instructions, technical drawings
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Preferred Characteristics:
- FAA Power plant certification considered an asset but not required
- Ability to understand and to restore aviation engine part to original integrity and dimensions
