Position Summary: Performs complete disassembly and reassembly of ZF transmissions including implementing product updates.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs all duties of Tech I & II as described on job descriptions
- Inspects and reports failure analysis of product and parts
- Reassembly of gearboxes including implementing product updates
- Tests product to ensure functionality
- Diagnosing/Troubleshooting gearboxes
- Works independently and may travel locally to customer locations.
- Work on D.O.T.. safety sensitive product
- Performs related tasks as assigned.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational school or 3+ years mechanical product experience
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong compuetr skills required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Other related duties as needed
Preferred Skills and experience:
- Knowledge of hand or pneumatic tools; forklift and/or pallet jack experience.
- Previous lean manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per 10 hour day, walk up to 2 miles per day, handle or feel objects and/or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend, verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must frequently an repetitively lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the associate is exposed to a manufacturing floor atmosphere with some office exposure.
