SalaryDo you have a vast knowledge of meat cuts and love to help people prepare their tasty dinners? We would love to have you join our team as our Head Meat Cutter to assist our customers with choosing the right meat for various meals.
Job Responsibilities
- Cuts and prepares all varieties and cuts of meat while operating tools safely.
- Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions.
- Helps to verify and unload meat deliveries from trucks.
- Maintains, fills, and rotates product in meat cases.
- Moves meat from coolers to cutting area and returns cut meat to coolers.
- Trains other associates as needed.
- Cleans equipment.
- Assists in other duties as assigned.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- 1-3 years’ experience as a meat cutter
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety
Prior knowledge of inventory prep, meat wrapping, & pricing are a plus. Pay commiserate on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
