Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting, packaging, and preparing various types of meat products in accordance with food safety standards. Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, and portion different cuts of meat according to customer specifications
- Package and label meat products for display and sale
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products to maintain freshness and quality
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safe handling of meat
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cutting area and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the meat department
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Meat Cutter or similar role in a restaurant or food production setting
- Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper meat handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and ability to operate meat cutting equipment safely
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to follow proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
