Responsibilities:
- Perform meat cutting and preparation tasks according to established standards and procedures.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all meat products.
- Use knives and other cutting tools to trim, cut, and portion meat.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in handling and storing meat products.
- Assist customers with their meat selection and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Meat Cutter or similar role in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with different cuts of meat and their uses.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
