Our client, a major Oil & Gas company, is looking for a Measurement Technician to work on a 12-months contract in Port Fourchon, LA.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years’ experience / training in Oil and Gas Allocation and Custody Transfer measurement systems.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for LACT meter proving, Sales Gas meter calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling for Custody Transfer.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for liquid and gas meter operation, calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling, for allocation.
Knowledge of single-phase metering by positive displacement, helical turbine, orifice, and v-cone, for oil and natural gas systems, troubleshooting and equipment testing procedures.
Ability to navigate and use Windows-based programs such as OMNICOM, PCCU32, Mon 2000.
Experience in the use of computers and a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to travel and work on offshore locations, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions.
Responsibilities
Ensure company, local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations and policies are followed in the execution of job duties/responsibilities.
Promote a safe working environment and work in a safe manner adhering to all company safety practices, procedures and policies.
Provide support to calibrate, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on measurement equipment, including single phase oil and gas meters, multiphase meters, sampling, Gas Chromatographs, Ultrasonic meters, and sample conditioning systems.
Coordinate with various Pipeline companies to ensure timely completion of meter calibrations, equipment repairs, water draws and distribution of volume statements.
Perform / Review LACT Meter Proving reports, Batch reports, Sales Gas Meter calibrations, Oil & Gas analysis for accuracy and data integrity.
Coordinate with Measurement Specialist on equipment specific troubleshooting, repair, installation, equipment replacement, regulatory and contractual compliance.
Learn new equipment software, applications, standards, and regulatory requirements as they relate to measurement components currently installed or will be installed in the future.
Continually self-educate, stay abreast of changing technology, and maintain familiarity with daily operations and hazards through use of EHS and other resources.
Maintain effective communication with all other personnel, vendors, and contractors to ensure individual job performance aligns with identified objectives/goals.
Maintain good communication with Measurement department and GOM Operations personnel, ensuring written and verbal communications are clear and provided in a timely manner.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Associates or bachelor’s degree, helpful
Travel Requirements
Travel required for this position is to / from designated heliport / dock as required for transportation to / from Asset.
Work Schedule
This position covers a 14/14 schedule.
