Qualifications:
RAC-CTCertification Preferred
Must have and maintainthroughout employment an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure issued by theState Board of Nursing.
Must have valid CPRcertification and maintain active CPR certification throughout employment.
Must be knowledgeable ofnursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state and federalregulations specific to nursing home operation and licensure.
Must be able to makeindependent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
Must possess leadershipand supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with residents,families, vendors, visitors, government agencies, facility staff, hospitalpersonnel, hospice representatives, and the general public.
Must have excellentfollow-through.
Must possess the abilityto plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals,objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providingquality individualized care.
Ability to prepare andpresent educational material and or reports to various audiences.
Ability to formulatereports, disseminate information, interpret data, and coordinate with multipledepartments.
Must be able to lift60-70lbs frequently.
Must be able to standand/or walk throughout the scheduled shift.
Must comply withattendance policy and established nursing staff schedules, be flexible, andmake necessary accommodations for the needs of residents and families.
Must have knowledge ofcomputer systems, systems applications, and other office equipment.
Must have excellentanalytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to meet alllocal health regulations, and pass pre/post-employment physical exams if required. Thisrequirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation,and reference inquiry.
Must have the ability topromote positive interpersonal relationships through the use of tactful, directand sensitive interaction. Must be able to communicate verbally in a positiveand professional manner.
Must be able to relatepositively and favorably to residents, families, co-workers, and to workcooperatively with others.
Must attendin-service/education programs as required to learn new procedures and developskills to meet regulatory compliance.
Must agree not todisclose resident protected health information and report suspected or knownviolations of such to the Administrator.
