Swampscott High School is seeking a dynamic educator to join its Mathematics Department. We are seeking an energetic, flexible, enthusiastic teacher who has experience teaching HIGH SCHOOL students. Courseload could include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and other courses as needed within the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Math required. Master's Degree preferred.
- MA Math 9 -12 teaching license
- SEI Endorsement
- At a minimum, two years of HIGH SCHOOL teaching experience
- Knowledge of Aspen, Zoom, Google Classroom, and G-Suite Apps.
Preferred candidates should also have:
- A growth mindset
- Familiarity with Smartboard technology, Promethean board technology, and using graphing calculators/Desmos.
- Experience designing and implementing engaging lessons.
- Commitment to cultural competency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all stakeholders including, students, colleagues, and families/caregivers
