Mathnasium changes lives through math. We are hiring motivated, responsible and passionate instructors who want to teach strong math foundations and serve K-12 students in Libertyville.
A Math Instructor is responsible for creating a positive, professional, and productive learning environment by delivering individualized instruction as well as evaluating the progress of each student. Instructors must also maintain effective communication and collaborate with team members regarding student progress.
Mathnasium teaches year-round, Monday through Thursday (3 PM - 7 PM) and Sunday (12 PM - 4 PM), so this is an opportunity for consistent shifts that fit your needs. Training is provided for all employees and growth opportunities are available. Starting rates are based on experience and education.

At Mathnasium, our educational philosophy revolves around teaching math in a way that makes sense to kids and helping them gain confidence in their math knowledge with the goal of helping them improve in their math education. We focus on strengthening math fundamentals by building math skills and number sense. Requirements:Math Instructor Job Requirements
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Exceptional math skills through Algebra I
- Adaptable communication skills
- Energetic, confident, and mentoring personality
- Passion for education and teaching math
- Ability to teach in a small group setting
- High School Diploma
