Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialty Sonographer
Inova Health System's Physicians Services is looking for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialty Sonographer to join our team supporting our Maternal Fetal Medicine group at our Fair Oaks Hospital Antenatal Testing Center. This role is full time, Monday-Friday Days. This position is also eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of up to $15,000

Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical services according to specialized Maternal Fetal ultrasound practice standards to detect fetal anomalies and acts as a resource to students, nurses, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions
- Communicates effectively with patients/families to answer any questions and to obtain clinical Maternal Fetal history/informed consent from patient to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination
- Assist the physicians in performing TEE, Amniocentesis, and AV optimization studies demonstrating knowledge of proper sterile techniques and isolation precautions as they pertain to the various specialty procedures.
- Demonstrates the ability to use proper care and aseptic cleaning techniques on all equipment, probes and solution to include daily testing
- Operates imaging equipment, performs routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images and troubleshoots equipment reporting to equipment to biomedical engineering/vendor as needed.
Requirements:
- At least three years of hospital or doctor's office-based experience in the performance of specialized Maternal Fetal sonography detecting fetal anomalies
- Graduate of an accredited school or program of diagnostic sonography with a specialty or five plus years on the job training performing specialized sonograms
- ARDMS Registration
- BLS and NT Certification
