Summary:
As the Materials and Production Control Manager you will be responsible for managing strategic Vendors/Subcontractors within the PowerRail network. This will include nurturing Vendor/Subcontractor relationships, working with internal functions to identify the work scope and material needs for the job, distributing RFP's to the Vendor/Subcontract community, and placing orders/requisitions for finished assembly and sub component material that is required at the Vendor/Subcontractor.
Up to 25% Travel Required
Strong organizational skills: comfortable with spreadsheets and able to work in PowerRail’s main operating systems.
Strong networking skills and good understanding of the product and Supply base.
Experienced in Cost Accounting in Manufacturing setting.
Experienced in subcontractor and supplier relations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing relationships with third party vendors and partners.
Experience purchase supplies and materials according to specifications
Hands on experience with forecasting and budgeting
Excellent organizational and time management skills
In depth knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems
Analytical thinking with problem solving aptitude.
