Materials Planning And Logistics Manager

Revology Cars is hiring an experienced Materials Planning and Logistics Manager at the Orlando Florida facility where we build new Ford-licensed reproduction 1965-68 Mustang and Shelby GT automobiles. 

ABOUT THE JOB 

The Materials Planning and Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the flow of materials into and through the production facility. This position involves developing and implementing strategies for efficient production and Materials Planning, inventory management, and Logistics operations to meet customer requirements. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives that optimize overall supply chain performance and ensures timely delivery of materials while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to establish robust inventory management processes for the following functions: receiving, storage, kitting, production line-side delivery, and shipping. This requires engaging with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and outside suppliers to optimize packaging designs, inventory levels, storage areas, system transactions, and part movement throughout the plant.
• Work with manufacturing and operations personnel to optimize in-plant material flow processes from in-house storage to the manufacturing assembly line in an accurate and timely manner. Develop standards and controls for material handling, storage, part availability, and system transactions.
• Establish a master production scheduling process to effectively plan for and build to customer demand.
• Develop a process for managing supplier order releases to support 100% on-time and in-full delivery. This entails leveraging the SyteLine CSI ERP system and Excel skills to provide timely demand planning information to suppliers, optimize inventory levels, and ensure accurate perpetual inventories.
• Manage inbound supplier and outbound customer freight. Coordinate with 3PL partners to establish efficient carrier routing guides for suppliers and economical inbound freight methods.
• Work cross-functionally to optimize set up of SyteLine CSI ERP system parameters for material requirements planning, master production scheduling, and inventory management.
• Establish an ABC inventory cycle counting process and drive accuracy levels to > 98%. Work cross-functionally to root cause and correct perpetual vs. physical inventory variances. Lead plant physical inventory events as required.
• Establish and track metrics for inbound/outbound delivery performance, inventory accuracy, schedule attainment, and Logistics cost.
• Be the in-plant functional lead for material planning & logistics initiatives and activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, industrial engineering, or a related field. Master's degree and/or Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus.
• 6+ years' Materials Planning and Logistics management experience within an automotive or aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of Excel, ERP systems (preferably SyteLine CSI), AIAG MMOG guidelines, lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and value stream mapping.
• Proven track record of KPI tracking and experience with establishing materials management processes. Familiar with Bill of Material (BOM) structure and management.
• Experience dealing with international and domestic vendors.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data for strategic decision-making.

PAY AND BENEFITS 

• $96,700-125,600 base salary, depending on skills and experience.
