Materials Handler - Shipping

POSITION SUMMARY: Pull and prepare shipments to ensure on time delivery. Load, unload, and stack products and/or materials to maintain a safe, clean work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with the supervisor
• Follow established work instructions to properly prepare final product for shipment
• Load, unload, and stack products and/or materials
• Ensure product is accurately pulled and labeled for shipment
• Achieve established goals or deadlines set for the department
• Complete all required shipping documents, paperwork, and/or data entry in a timely manner
• Utilize Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results
• Organize materials at work station and department according to 5S standards
• Operate required equipment per safety guidelines, upon proper certification
• Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three months of previous warehouse/shipping experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasional lifting of 50 pounds or less, occasional lifting of 51 pounds or more
• Standing throughout the duration of shift, daily
• Repetitive use of hands and/or fingers, able to reach with hands and arms, and use of vision
