I. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing support for construction and maintenance activities by receiving, issuing, transferring, and charging in and out of materials.
II. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
A. Reports to: Lead Materials Handler and Warehouse Manager
III. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Assembles and issues the needed materials for the line crews, service personnel and contractors.
B. Receives and helps unload and properly stores materials and equipment. Notifies supervisor when materials on hand in inventory are low.
C. Keeps warehouse in a neat and orderly manner.
D. Prepares orders and submits to supervisor for approval.
E. Disassembles salvage as required and inventories materials returned to the warehouse.
F. Spot paint, clean and stencil transformers, OCRs, Regulators and Special Equipment.
G. Assists in taking physical inventory as directed.
H. Observes all safety rules.

V. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Job Knowledge, Training and Experience: Must be able to complete reports. This is normally acquired through the completion of courses leading to a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to learn materials utilized in distribution line construction and maintenance in order to complete warehouse duties.
Equipment Operated: Operates bush hog tractors, two wheel dolly and fork lift. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.
Abilities and Skills: Must be able to perform the activities necessary to complete work assignments described in the position description.
Physical Effort: Frequently moves materials and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds. Occasionally moves items that weigh up to 100 pounds. Position must be able to move materials from a loading dock to shelves of up to 12 feet. Position utilizes ladder. Position activities are normally carried out walking, standing, bending and climbing.
Working Conditions: Position is located in the warehouse. Work is both inside the warehouse and outside (up to 50% of the time) under various weather conditions. Some overtime may be required. Would also be working in pole yard, transformer storage area, wire shed area of warehouse.
After an offer of employment has been made, a physical examination is required, which will include both alcohol and drug testing.
