Materials Clerk/Warehouse Coordinator

Job Summary

Receive, maintain, and disburse inventory.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
• Receive, store, stock, maintain and distribute inventory
• Operate material handling equipment and forklift
• Complete various rail office duties including manual and electronic data processing
• Other duties as assigned by proper authority

Pay:

Position Daily Rate - $291.58

• First twelve (12) calendar months of employment new employee shall be paid 85% of the above rate
• Second twelve (12) calendar months of employment, such employee shall be paid 90% of the above rate
• Third twelve (12) calendar months of employment, such employee shall be paid 95% of the above rate
• After working 36 months, such employee will be paid rate of $291.58 daily rate based on an 8-hour schedule

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License
• Type 25 average net words per minute
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle applications experience
• Forklift operation experience

Basic Competencies

Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications

• -both general and technical)
• Communication skills (provide clear instructions/directions)
• Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills)
• Basic Math

Physical Requirements

• Medium to Heavy Work, lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 85 pounds on a rare basis
• Demonstrate auditory and visual acuity/tracking/inspection
• Stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance
• Climb ladders

Employment Conditions

• Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries
• Wear protective equipment such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety-toe boots, or safety glasses
• Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work
• Complete annual safety testing requirements
• Must pass all required assessments
• Must pass a background screening
• This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, membership is required
• Must pass a post-offer medical examination, including drug and physical capabilities test that entails a 1.5 hour strength and cardiovascular fitness test. You will be required to travel up to 4 hours to testing center at your expense
