Purpose of Position: Process purchase requisitions for material used in the manufacture of products. This position involves working with our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to place purchase orders (POs) for needed materials. Communication with vendors, PO tracking, and reporting status and issues to management.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Place Purchase Orders as indicated by ERP system.
• Develop and maintain an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders and flagging issues.
• Deliver timely purchase order reports to the Materials Manager that indicate PO status and highlight any lead-time or backorder issues.
• Assist Materials Manager with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used regularly.
• Work with Engineering to ensure correct part number revisions are ordered.
• Manage with suppliers expectations through open and consistent communication.
• Other duties assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Proficient in ERP systems with 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills and experience communicating with suppliers.
• Experience purchasing printed circuit boards, preferred.

Physical Demands of Position:

• Physically able to lift up to 20 pounds (materials/equipment)
• Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
